What are you currently reading?
I am currently reading These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong. It’s an interesting world with a lot of amazing social commentary. I’m having a few issues connecting to the characters – but I’ve still got half of the book left for things to improve. This is definitely a unique book even with it being a re-telling of Romeo and Juliet.
What did you recently finish reading?
I finished The Deathless Girls by Kiran Millwood Hargrave! It’s one of the most beautiful books (in appearance) ever, and the story is also a very, very good origin story for Dracula’s wives. I really love the way it dives into complicated relationships between sisters – Lil is a great protagonist. It also has an f/f romance! You can check out my review here.
What do you think you’ll read next?
A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik arrived yesterday so that’s absolutely on my next to read radar. It is my most anticipated read of 2020 and I honestly can’t wait to see what it’s all about!
What do you think of these choices? I am so excited to make more progress on my to be read.

I haven’t really been interested in These Violent Delights but then I found out the author is still in college and I’m so impressed & also wondering what I’m doing with my life 😅. Looking forward to your review!

I’m so excited for These Violent Delights. Romeo and Juliet isn’t my favorite Shakespeare play, but I’m all for modern retellings!

Aaaah all these books are on my very, very long TBR…. I def need to prioritize reading more f/f. Also, intrigued that These Violent Delights is original, even considering it’s a Romeo and Juliet retelling!
